Rashmi, living with her widowed father Dr. Sanjeev Jaitly, dreams of becoming a singer and dancer. Encouraged by her dad and friends, she joins R.K. Music Co., run by Rahul Kapoor. Together, they release hit albums and fall in love. However, Rashmi later discovers Rahul's past with another singer, Mallika.
