The story follows Ye Shi Lan (Liang Jie), a pediatrician working in a remote village as a part of a social welfare program. She has been waiting for her notice to return to An Xing Hospital. One day, Shi Lan has an unusual encounter with Lu Zhao Xi (Joseph Zeng), the newly elected CEO of An Xing Hospital.
