The Jinyiwei are an elite force of secret agents who devote their lives and lethal prowess to the service of the Emperor alone. Unbeknownst to the Jinyiwei's leader Qinglong, the Imperial Court has fallen under the control of a corrupt eunuch and whilst on a mission he is betrayed and barely escapes. He must find a way to restore the Emperor to power but in his way are his former comrades.
