An aging sci-fi writer, Jyoti Ramaya, is challenged by his caretaker, Lilly, to write a story about the common man. While Ramaya is initially reluctant, believing the life of the ordinary man to lack drama, he takes it up as a challenge and begins narrating the story of Kannan (an auto driver) and his family, only to discover that the ordinary man's life may not be so ordinary after all.
